For example in experiences, ethnicity, culture, age, language, gender, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, abilities, neurodiversity, education, family status, and political views. This is important because even when the current situation of diversity in organizations stems from structural issues that are difficult to change, organizations can help ameliorate social tendencies to better society. And even when diversity on its own is not enough, it is the first step toward inclusion.
